Kanio smashed his way onto the underground dance music scene in late 2007 with a string of chart-topping productions.

In little more than a year he achieved a massive 5 beatport top tens and a further 7 top 20′s.

Quite rightly He was nominated for best minimal artist at the Beatport music awards in 2009.

Besides His two imprints, Novakane and Lower East, Kanio has signed tracks and had remixes commissioned to labels such as Trapez, Traum, Noir & Autist.

His remix work on WYS! 003, Jacob Husleys “Do What You Want” has been tracklisted endlessly:)

He joins us in Dublin straight off the back of his 8th tour of Brazil.

Joining Him on this date are WYS! residents Cormac & Peter Pixzel.

Also every now and again we’ll throw up some extra content for you guys such as mixes from our guest Dj’s and of course our resident Dj’s.

DIBH presents: BUTCH!

_____TRAINWRECK in Association with
_____DEEP IN THE BOWELS OF HOUSE

_______________Present!_____________

________BUTCH -

____EYES WIDE OPEN

______ALBUM TOUR

With “no worries” being the summer hit in Ibiza and being nominated for the Pacha Award „best track Ibiza 2010“. BUTCH will release his new album “eyes wide open” and he takes his tour to Berlin, Sao Paulo, Naples and to DeepIntoTheBowelsOfHouse!

About BUTCH

Chunky name, versatile and defined sound: BUTCH spent the past three years presenting us with a constant amount of high quality output ranging throughout the different genres of electronic dance music with such an ease and passion that he has made it to be one of the most sought-after names worldwide.

After various very successful productions and remixes for internationally renowned labels such as Trapez, AFU Limited and Great Stuff the debut album entitled „Papillon“ on the latter mentioned Munich based powerhouse in autumn 2008 seemed as the only logical next step. Butch saw this album as a possibility to present his love and rich amount of ideas for all spectra of dance music from pumping peak-time Techno via smooth Tech-House to minimalist deep sound experiments. Critically acclaimed, loved by DJs it exceeded all expectations by presenting us with a timeless club-classic for your home.

Similar to his intuition whilst playing on the dance-floor, his releases always grab the nerv and vibe of the moment and not only capture his audiences, but many DJs worldwide just as well. It comes as no surprise that Butch-releases such as „Mushroom Man“ (AFU-Limited), „Earth“ (Trapez) or „Amelie“ (Great Stuff) can be found in the playlists of prominent names such as Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Villalobos, Luciano and many others. Already his second release „On the Line“ was so successful it got him two nominations in the categories „Best Techno“ and „Best Remix Techno“ for the Beatport Music Awards 2007.

Butch’s tour calender is filled to the brim with over 100 bookings a year and living proof of his abilities as a DJ. His gigs are responsible for his enormous amount of travelling within and outside of Germany and Europe and over the last two years he has accumulated a very impressive vitae including legendary club references such as Rex (Paris), Fabric (London), Cocoon (Frankfurt),Cocorico (Riccione), Flex (Vienna), or La Terrazza (Barcelona), which have all been intrigued by his sound.

The calender in 2009 has very exciting notes on the agenda for Butch: Besides his extensive tour through dozens of countries the first 6 months will include releases on the home-base labels AFU Limited, Trapez and Great Stuff as well as the dutch label Area Remote and the Mannheim-based House imprint 8Bit. Remixes for established artists such as 2000 and One, Thomas P. Heckmann, Daso & Pawas and Ramon Tapia will also hit the floors with such an energy that his name is more than set for the year.

Big on the plan is also the collaboration with his friend and studio partner AMIR (Trapez/8Bit) not only as A&R, but also as releasing artist on the new collective called „bouq.“. The label was founded together with their friends Sebastian Lutz, Caio Duncan and a few background helpers to establish a new platform for innovative music, quality promotion, fun events and bookings.

Come and Mowgli with us next weekend!

Mowgli @ The POD –
TRAINWRECK 05/11/10

With videos to come of what was probably the busiest weekend the POD has had this year on a Friday thanks to the Wet Yourself lads, you’ll easily be able to see how much fun we’ve all been having at Trainwreck.

Next Friday is going to be no different with Mowgli taking to the decks in the POD.

“Sometimes you ask a musician how they would describe their music, and they fire back with genre adages and babbling musical colloquy. Mowgli’s reply was “Sexy, sexy, sexy!”. You can see how this will go. It isn’t to say Mowgli is a maniacal disc jockey that mumbles irrelevant utterances when faced with genuine questions, it’s more that he takes it all with a pinch of salt. Good music talks for itself. Mowgli’s screams in your face like a pilled up clubber initiating conversation by the speakers.

The Cincinnati based DJ spent 2009 building the foundations: starting his own label (Deadfish) and initiating a staggering world tour that took him to Australia, South Africa and Brazil to name just a few. The release of his frantically paced ‘London To Paris EP’ (listen below) had Crookers declaring “Nu Scoala!”, with Mowgli showcasing his own techniques for peaks and risers in what could possibly be described as ‘bastard house’. And when I say bastard, I really just mean aggressive, but in a bandwagon genre christening manner. And to come from this sexy, sexy, sexy DJ? “Club singles coming on my label DeadFish regularly throughout 2010, plus a new single called “Can’t Stop Singing”. It’s going to be a little different from what I have done so far, it’s a bit more pop. I wanted to see if I could do a proper song… I think I can”.

Admission: 12/10 euro

Do pop in for what will no doubt be yet another quality night of music.

For those not willing to wait for next weekend to get their fix of House/Techno we’ve got Paolo Mojo playing in the pod tomorrow night (29.10.10) as well!!

The silly season is well under way and Trainwreck are here to take you all the way through to the new year. Hope to see you all soon!

Steve, and the Trainwreck Crew!

Get ready to WetYourSelf!!!

W Y S!! W Y S !! W Y S!! W Y S!!

Well it’s only a week away but the buzz of our new monthly guest night is really starting to kick off! We’ve only gone ahead and brought the guys from the famous WetYourSelf night at one of London’s biggest clubs Fabric over to play at Trainwreck!

It’s all kicking of on Fri Oct 22nd when alongside WYS residents Cormac, Peter Pixzel and Jacob Husley. We’ll also have Pig & Dan performing for you!

Pig & Dan have been core contenders on the underground techno scene for more than a decade now, and with their recent E.P on the newly launched WYS label, its only fitting that they’re coming along to party with the WYS lads at what will be WetYourSelf’s first appearance in Ireland.

For those that don’t know much about WYS, WYS was fuelled by their desire to create serious dance floor hedonism, yet present quality music in an unpretentious way, the notorious WetYourSelf at the internationally renowned club fabric has irrevocably changed Sunday nights in London. As briefcase-clad suits make their way to work near Farringdon on Mondays, they unknowingly walk over a banging club tucked deep underground, chock-full of fashionable club-goers still wildly clinging on to the weekend.

On a weekly basis, the artistic force behind the phenomenon, DJs and producers Jacob Husley, Peter Pixzel and Cormac, pour their energy into a packed dancefloor. Their frequent 3-way back to back sessions are legendary, with the crowd feeding off their obvious child-like excitement for the musical journey they are at the helm of.

WYS! has become the most loved underground techno and house night in London and they are now spreading their gospel with regular parties in Europe, including new residencies in Paris, Barcelona and now Dublin!

To get you in the swing of things here are a few links for you to read up on the boys and listen to some of there work.
